The mission of the United States Pony Clubs, Inc., is to provide a program for youth that teaches
riding, mounted sports, and care of the horses and ponies, thereby developing
responsibility, moral judgment, leadership and self-confidence.
MEMBERSHIP
Established in 1989, Laurel Oaks Pony Club (LOPC) is a traditional Pony Club Program administered by Parents and other Volunteer adults from Palm Beach, Martin and Okeechobee Counties. Membership in Laurel Oaks Pony Club is open to youth up to 25 years in age. We also offer an introductory junior program geared for our youngest members and their parents.

We encourage you to contact our District Commissioner or other members of our organization so that we can provide you with more information on the club and answer any questions you might have. At Laurel Oaks Pony Club it really is all about having fun while learning and improving riding skills and developing a wealth of horse management knowledge. Ownership of a horse or pony is not a requirement to join Laurel Oaks Pony Club. If you do not own a horse or pony, we can work with you to provide a safe and reliable mount for all instructional programs and other events where one would be needed. Laurel Oaks Pony Club is dedicated to offering a structured instructional horsemanship program to all youth in our area, no matter what. Come learn, grow and have fun with us!

The Pony Club Pledge
“As a member of the United States Pony Club, I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship. I shall compete for the enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper sport loses its cause for being. I shall endeavor to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner.”
